English and Basketball Summer Camp 2024
ENGLISH LESSONS + BASKETBALL
In collaboration with one of the best schools in Alicante, Basketball Montemar, Iberian Camps offers its language summer camps for teenagers aged 11 to 17 years, interested in coming to Alicante (Spain) to learn English and having fun with their favourite sport, basketball, together with teens of the same age from different nationalities. Moreover, they’ll be able to meet other international campers also staying at the same residence.
The main objective of this camp is that our participants have a great time, while they learn and enrich themselves by socialising with young people from other countries and by discovering a different country and culture.
The participants have 4 hours of English lessons with native teachers every morning, from Monday to Friday. Afterwards they will join with the foreign campers of our Spanish Summer Camp and our French Summer Camp to spend the rest of day altogether. In the afternoon, they’ll play basketball and they will improve their skills with coaches who, in addition to being certified by the Basketball Federation of the Valencian Community and the Spanish Basketball Federation, have a lot of experience directing teams from Club Montemar in regional categories.
This Basketball Club, which currently has 16 teams in mini, children, cadet, junior and senior categories, and more than 180 players, has been chosen by Iberian Camps to train our campers in the afternoons.
9,000 square metres of own facilities, including a sports hall, an approved outdoor covered court, 2 outdoor mini basketball courts, 3 outdoor basketball courts, 2 large multipurpose rooms, 2 other smaller rooms, a gym, changing rooms, study room, cafeteria… And all this very close to our summer camps.
2 programmes in 1: an English Camp and a Basketball Camp, in the best facilities, with excursions, beach visits and lots of incredible experiences.

3 afternoons every week, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., campers will attend the basketball course at Club Montemar, where professional coaches, certified by the Basketball Federation of the Valencian Community and the Spanish Basketball Federation, with a lot of experience directing teams in regional categories, will be waiting to work with them according to their level, which will be assessed on the first day.
They will focus on improving the individual technique of each player, as well as group exercises to promote the group’s connection.
And depending on the level, games will be included to make the training session more fun.
Activity for all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Important! In case of not reaching a minimum of 5 players, Iberian Camps reserves the right to replace this activity by the Multi-Sports or Arts&Culture programme.
Every week they have one afternoon for enjoying the water, that is swimming pool or beach.
On Friday afternoon, they do a cultural visit to a close place like Alicante city centre, Elche… or they do a fun activity like campus gymkhana, bowling, paintball, shopping…
This programme includes:
• Accommodation in residence (single room with shower room and kitchen)

• 20 hours a week of English lessons (native teachers, classrooms and learning materials)
• 9 weekly hours of basketball at Club Montemar (coaches, facilities and materials)
